Position Summary- Primary Position - Security Officer :

We are looking for a personable, energetic, and passionate individual for the position of a Security Officer . Under the supervision of the Security Manager, you will be responsible for protecting patrons, staff and assets to ensure the integrity of the gaming floor and company property! Get in the game.... Key Accountabilities

  • Preparing statements / reports on internal and external violations, unsafe conditions, potential hazards, suspicious persons and activities
  • Enrolling guests into the Self-Exclusion Program
  • Conducting regular patrols of the entire property as directed; identifies risks and conditions that present safety issues
  • Providing or assisting with First Aid for employees and guests
  • Responding to, resolving or escalating security issues
  • May escort guests and employees or escort duties as required
  • Liaising and communicating effectively with all appropriate operational departments
  • Developing and cultivating strong working relationships with all stakeholders : guests, ownership and employees
  • Ensuring compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
  • Performing other duties as assigned or directed

Education and Qualifications

  • High school diploma required, post secondary education an asset
  • Strong communication and public relations skills
  • Second language an asset
  • Previous experience or training in security an asset
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Ability to be adaptable and flexible with work schedule
  • Exceptional organizational, problem solving and conflict resolution capabilities
  • Good knowledge of MS Office and Outlook
  • Certification in Occupational First Aid Level 2 and WHMIS an asset
  • Completion of Gaming Security Officer training an asset
  • The ability to successfully obtain or maintain a Criminal Record Check through the Gaming Policy and Enforcement Branch (GPEB)

Work Environment Considerations

Regular casino environment, standing and walking for long periods of time, some elements of danger, some exposure to the elements, some exposure to noise, some exposure to verbal or physical abuse, non-traditional work hours

Secondary Position - Security Supervisor

Position Summary :

Are you passionate about safety and providing great guest experience? Looking for a place to put your skills to play, making guests feel safe and special?

Elements Casino Victoria is looking for a personable, energetic, and passionate individual for the position of Security Supervisor .

Under the supervision of the Security Manager, you will be responsible for protecting guests, staff, and assets to ensure the integrity of the gaming floor and company property by patrolling and monitoring the entire casino site, interior and exterior, controlling access to keys and restricted areas;

and other duties as assigned. This position requires shift schedule flexibility.

Key Accountabilities

  • Providing input for team member performance objectives and evaluations
  • Mentoring, coaching and training front line security team members
  • Monitoring, documenting and preparing statements / reports on internal and external violations, unsafe conditions, potential hazards, suspicious persons and activities
  • Enrolling guests into the Self-Exclusion Program
  • Conducting regular patrols of the entire property as directed; identifying risks and conditions that present safety issues
  • Providing or assisting with First Aid for team members and guests
  • Responding to, resolving or escalating security issues
  • Escorting guests and team members or assigning escort duties as required
  • Overseeing crowd control for special events
  • Liaising and communicating effectively with all appropriate operational departments
  • Developing and cultivating strong working relationships with all stakeholders (guests, ownership and team members)
  • Ensuring compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
  • Performing other duties as assigned or directed

Education and Qualifications :

  • Previous security experience an asset but not required
  • A High School Diploma
  • Strong communication and public relations skills
  • Second language an asset
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and time management skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Ability to be adaptable and be flexible with work schedule
  • Exceptional organizational, problem solving and conflict resolution capabilities
  • Experience with MS Office and Outlook
  • Certification in Occupational First Aid Level 2 and WHMIS an asset
  • Completion of Gaming Security Officer training an asset
  • The ability to successfully obtain a criminal record check through the Gaming Policy and Enforcement Branch (GPEB)
  • Serving It Right, Smart Serve or IGB certification, or the ability to obtain a Serving it Right Certification
