Vertex is currently accepting applications for a Geotechnical Engineer. The successful candidate will work closely with our Vertex offices throughout Canada and will be responsible for the technical execution of geotechnical engineering projects within Canada.
CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering.
- 10 or more years of professional work experience in the field of geotechnical engineering.
- A licensed member of Professional Engineers Ontario.
- Knowledge and working experience with applicable regulations, codes, and guidelines such as CFEM, CHBDC, OPSS, OBC, etc.
- Experience in the use of commercially available software packages for the assessment of slope stability is required.
- Experience in Geotechnical design and preparing investigation reports
- Experience with project management.
- Familiarity with ArcGIS, AutoCAD, and Microsoft products is required.
- Possession of a valid Ontario driver’s license is required.
