Job Summary

Under the direction of the Supervisor, the Team Leader assists the Supervisor in the management of the lines and the communication of the work assignments. The TL must show demonstrated leadership, initiative, good attendance and respect for all company policies and applicable legislation. In addition, the TL will motivate, encourage and train employees under their leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Production General Labourers assigned on the line.
  • Ensure all guarding is in place before start-up.
  • Follow all Health & Safety policies including the Harassment, Discrimination & Violence in the Workplace Policy;
  • Follow all GMP policies; make team aware of them.
  • Train employees on the line when needed.
  • Read customer spec & date format prior to producing product sku’s. Make sure information is correct prior to producing product.
  • Temporarily replace employees on the line as needed.
  • Account for employees on their line during an emergency evacuation.
  • Complete Production & QA forms on paperless hourly. Must be finalized at the end of the shift.
  • Communicate direction from the Supervisor.
  • Communicate hourly with Supervisor on performance & Quality issues.
  • Under the direction of the Supervisor, manager changeovers efficiently.
  • Communicate any issues to the next shift / TL.
  • Be an active participant in the daily line meetings.
  • Inform Supervisor of any problems when they occur immediately.
