Job description

Position Summary

The main goal of a Travel Consultant is to sell an entire package to guests, including accommodations, activities and transportation, through on-line chat, email and phone. A Travel Consultant cultivates a strong relationship with their customer database and builds on our high level of service to generate and maintain sales levels.

Shifts are 4 x 10 hour days. Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a Tourism Whistler and Whistler.com ambassador, living our purpose and vision with passion & energy, achievement and respect
  • Answer inbound calls, provide quotes to online vacation requests, and answer customer questions, emails & voice mails
  • Execute various outbound calls including concierge, up sell calls, informational and customer focused
  • Effectively communicate with Online Chat inquiries, quotes and actively pursue sales leads generated via the online chat with guests
  • Meet or exceed individual and team sales goals on a daily, weekly & monthly basis
  • Communicate effectively with clients, vendors and colleagues
  • Respond to all guests in a timely, professional and friendly manner
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Excellent knowledge of Whistler
  • Effective time management skills with the ability to stay organized and multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written, through the telephone, on-line chat and email
  • Commitment to customer service
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Skilled problem solving and conflict resolution abilities
  • A team player who can also work independently
  • Computer skills including MS Office, and a variety of cloud based software
