Job description

Job Title :   Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

British Columbia

We are looking for a dynamic and visionary  Chief Executive Officer  to lead our client’s passenger vessel operations. The ideal  CEO  will steer the company towards growth and profitability while ensuring exceptional service delivery to its passengers.

Key Responsibilities for the  Chief Executive Officer :

  • Strategic Vision : Develop and execute strategies that align with the company's long-term goals in the passenger services market.
  • Financial Management : Take full P&L responsibility, driving financial performance through effective cost management and revenue generation strategies specifically tailored for maritime passenger services.
  • Operational Leadership : Oversee all business-to-consumer operations, ensuring a seamless, safe, and enjoyable experience for passengers from booking to disembarkation.
  • Team Development : Lead, inspire, and manage a large, diverse team, fostering an environment of collaboration, innovation, and high performance.
  • Board Engagement : Regularly report to the Board of Directors, providing insights, performance reviews, and strategic recommendations; ensure alignment with board directives and company objectives.
  • Customer Focus : Enhance customer satisfaction by analyzing feedback and market trends, adapting services to meet consumer needs and expectations.
  • Regulatory Compliance and Safety : Ensure all operations comply with maritime regulations and maintain the highest safety standards.

Qualifications for the  Chief Executive Officer :

  • Extensive experience in executive leadership roles, preferably as a CEO or similar, within the maritime or passenger transport industry.
  • Proven track record of managing P&L in a business-to-consumer passenger service environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead large teams and manage complex operations in a consumer-focused sector.
  • Strong strategic thinker with a history of driving business growth and operational excellence.
  • Excellent communicator with experience in stakeholder management, particularly with a Board of Directors.
  • University degree; an MBA or equivalent is highly desirable.
