Salary Or Wage : $30.00 to $36.00 per hour

List of Requirements

  • 3-5+ years’ of previous experience in a construction, home building or renovation industry is required
  • Carpentry experience or certification or working towards a certification is an asset
  • Skilled in framing, finishing carpentry, drywall, etc.
  • Working knowledge of BC building codes
  • Ability to work with a variety of hand tools, powered tools and assembly machinery
  • Excellent planning, time-management and communication skills
  • Functional math skills to calculate and measure and ability to read tape measure
  • Sound ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings and project specifications
  • Class 5 Drivers License is preferred; must provide an ICBC abstract
  • First Aid, WHMIS would be an asset but may be provided
  • Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with customers
  • Specific job training to be provided

List of Duties

In this full-time role, you will be a lead in the day to day operations of our Installer Team. As Installer II, you will oversee and coordinate installation of various projects, ensuring tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. You will exceed customer expectations by leading by example and delivering the highest quality installation and service every time. In this role you will put your skills to work by providing exemplary service in the following ways :

  • Lead and manage quality installation of a variety of product lines such as windows, doors, garage doors, railings, aluminum patio covers, and more in both residential and commercial settings
  • Perform high quality carpentry work in accordance with applicable building codes and by-laws in construction of a variety of products in both residential and commercial settings
  • Installation specialist of product lines such as commercial doors, Duradek, railings, garage doors, or other product categories
  • Work closely with the Installation Coordinator on installation schedules and maintain efficient workflow
  • Employ various methods of installation including cutting, framing, fastening and sealing to ensure a sound and high quality finish windows, doors / bi-folds, trim, crown, etc.
  • Utilize various tools including but not limited to table saws, mitre saws, routers, jointers, and sanders and hand tools such as hammers, screw drivers, squares, chisels, hand saws, clamps and planes
  • Utilize heat welding techniques to ensure secure and durable seams in vinyl materials
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during the install process
  • Various prepping tasks, maintain and organize tools and general clean-up
  • Leading by example and driving a culture of excellence while building relationships to increase customer retention and satisfaction
  • The physical demands of this job require the employee to have good coordination and the ability to lift up to 23kg-34kg (50-75lbs).
  • Ability to work outdoors and in various weather conditions
  • Must be committed to working safely and adhering to all health and safety policies while maintaining safe work environment at all times
