Job description

Acadia Broadcasting is looking for our next on‑air personality in Dryden, ON — though “radio announcer” doesn’t quite cover it anymore.

We used to say, “radio announcer,” but the role has evolved. This is about authentic personality, strong creative instincts, and the ability to turn ideas into great on‑air and digital content.

If you love connecting with people, telling stories, and sounding like a real human on the mic, keep reading.

Acadia Broadcasting is a growing Canadian media company with radio stations across Atlantic Canada and Northwestern Ontario. In every market we serve, we’re proud to be the local voice for entertainment, news, and community connection.

Whether you’re early in your broadcasting career or a seasoned pro, we want to hear from you.

Here’s what you’ll be doing:

  • Host a show that entertains, informs, and connects
  • Create and contribute content across on‑air, social, and digital platforms
  • Support programming, promotions, and creative initiatives with ideas that have follow‑through
  • Lend your voice for voice tracking shows for other markets, commercials and station content
  • Represent the station at community events and live broadcasts
  • Work independently and collaboratively in a supportive team environment

Here’s what we are looking for:

  • You’re engaging, humble, and hungry
  • You bring original ideas and know how to execute them
  • You prefer being coached rather than micromanaged and thrive with limited supervision
  • You understand the importance of win‑win relationships
  • You enjoy being out in the community and connecting with people
  • Experience with WideOrbit, Adobe Audition, or MusicMaster is an asset (we’ll train the right person)
  • You bring a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and genuine enthusiasm
  • Valid driver’s licence

What you will receive:

  • Competitive compensation and benefits
  • Flexible health and dental coverage with Life insurance and disability benefits
  • Annual Health Spending Account
  • 5% employer‑matched RRSP
  • Three weeks’ vacation to start
  • Fitness reimbursement program
  • Employee & Family Assistance Program for you and your family and a strong wellness program

At Acadia Broadcasting, we aim to be the best radio station — and the best place to work — in every market we serve.

We believe in local programming, strong community ties, and giving talented people the space to do great work.

To Apply, Send us:

  • Your resume
  • Links to your aircheck, demo, or samples of your on‑air work

Acadia Broadcasting is an equal opportunity employer.

We value diversity and are committed to an inclusive workplace. If you need accommodation during the interview process, just let us know — we’re happy to help.
