As an Employee Communications Specialist, you will be responsible for creating and delivering compelling content that engages employees, strengthens our culture, and ensures operational efficiency. Reporting to the Director, Brand and Communications, you will work closely with key stakeholders to ensure all internal communications are clear, consistent, and aligned with Modern Niagara’s vision, goals, and core values. Our ideal candidate knows their way around an intranet platform, has outstanding communication skills, and takes pride in owning their work but also working as a team.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Support the development and execution of the employee communications strategy for Modern Niagara, including key messaging, channels, and tactics
- Create and share internal communications content, including intranet content, emails, videos, and presentations
- Help manage the internal communication channels (employee intranet, digital displays, etc.), including training, coaching, maintenance, and adoption
- Work with key organizational stakeholders to ensure all internal communications are clear, consistent, aligned, and cascaded throughout the organization
- Assess employee communications needs and help foster both one-way and two-way communications (employee listening strategies)
- Monitor and measure the effectiveness of employee communications, making recommendations for improvement based on feedback and data analysis
- Maintain a content calendar to ensure internal communications are timely and relevant
- Identify opportunities to promote employee engagement and help foster our company culture
- Work closely with the Brand and Communications team, helping to identify opportunities to leverage internal news, initiatives, etc. on our external channels
