Description : About us :
The Vice-President & Provost System’s team provides technology guidance and systems support to the Division of the Vice-President and Provost. The VPP System’s team is responsible for providing leadership, direction, planning, reporting, and strategic management to the Divisions’ community in the areas of information systems and support, project management, web / media, documentation and training.
Your opportunity :
Reporting to the Director, Information Systems and under the general guidance of the Lead Developer and Systems Architect, the incumbent will be responsible for working collaboratively within a team to develop and deliver business solutions for the Division. You will be responsible for understanding client requirements, analyzing existing systems, and developing technical solutions for system improvements leveraging a mixture of cloud, off the shelf, and custom applications to meet client needs.
Your responsibilities will include :
- Analyzing and making recommendations for programming enhancements
- Evaluating programming code to ensure it has validity, compatibility, and that it meets appropriate standards
- Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues
- Creating complex and technical documentation and user support guides
- Collaborating on cost estimates
