Job descriptionGrade 11 or equivalent. Pool Operators I and II Qualification. Over three months and up to six months related experience. WHMIS certification valid within 1 year. Possession of Occupational First Aid Level I is an asset. Employment is subject to provision of a satisfactory Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector (PIC-VS) check no older than 6 months. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. The successful candidate(s) will work varying shifts including nights, days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Building Service Worker II - Pool
1 Permanent Part-Time Position
The District of Saanich 's Parks, Recreation and Community Services department is seeking a team player to help drive our mission of Healthy Nature, Healthy People, and Healthy Community, while supporting our vision : a Saanich where everyone belongs.

Saanich Commonwealth Place Recreation Centre has an exciting career opportunity as a Building Service Worker II to perform maintenance work in the general operation and service maintenance of swimming pools and other associated buildings and equipment in our aquatic facility and community recreation centre. The Building Service Worker II – Pool performs various maintenance functions involving building maintenance and repairs, swimming pool heating and filtering equipment, custodial and cleaning tasks.
Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance work in the general operation and service maintenance of swimming pools and related facilities and equipment.
- Carry out building maintenance and repairs, including monitoring and maintaining pool heating and filtration systems.
- Conduct custodial and cleaning tasks as required to support facility operations.
