Responsibilities :

Plan prepare and deliver engaging industrial training and technical education lessons that meet the BC curriculum standards.

Instruct students in various technical and vocational skills including woodworking metalworking and other trades.

Ensure a safe and supportive learning environment in the workshop and classroom.

Assess and monitor student progress providing feedback and support.

Develop and utilize educational materials and resources to enhance technical instruction.

Collaborate with colleagues support staff and parents to enhance student learning.

Participate in school events meetings and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications :

Certified to teach in British Columbia.

Experience teaching industrial training or technical education at the school level is preferred.

Strong understanding of technical education curriculum standards and best practices.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Commitment to creating a positive and supportive learning environment.
