Job description

Reporting to the Director, Workforce and International Development, and utilizing a service excellence approach, this position provides administrative support to Workforce and International Development. This position is based in Castlegar and is required to be in-person (remote work is not possible).

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responds to inquiries and requests from staff, students, and the public;
  • Prepares correspondence, invoices, forms, PRs, JVs, cheque requisitions, and other documents;
  • Collects student fees and enters data in SLED; maintains databases;
  • Prepares contracts, meeting agendas and minutes, and order supplies,
  • Loads and maintains Drupal/CMS content for CE/International websites and supports development of marketing materials;
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

  • Proficient with MS Office including Word, Excel, email, and web content management Drupal and Spiceworks
  • Proficient knowledge of the Student Record System (SRS), Financial Record System (FRS) and Student Ledger System (SLED)
  • Proficient with Google Docs and data extraction processes
  • Excellent written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organization skills and ability to set priorities

Education and Experience

  • High School Graduation, plus completion of a Diploma in an Office Administration, Business or related Program with a word processing or accounting option
  • Minimum 2-3 years related experience

This is a regular, full-time (35 hrs/week) position, commencing approximately May 4, 2026. Salary will be Pay Grade 8, $33.38 per hour in accordance with the PPWC Collective Agreement.
