Role Summary:

We are seeking an Journeyman Electrician to join our team in [City/Region]. You will install, maintain, and repair electrical systems on industrial projects/sites.

Key Responsibilities:

• Initiate, coordinate, direct, and schedule site personnel to ensure project objectives are met.
• Assist with the optimization of mechanical and electrical design drawings.
• Assist in the preparation and negotiation of mechanical and electrical subcontracts.
• Monitor the overall progress of the project and take corrective action where necessary.
• Maintain a good working relationship with customers, consultants and subcontractors.
• Prepare and review reports on progress, costs, materials used and adjust work schedules as required
• Assist with the commissioning process, building turnover and closeout documentation.
• Other duties as required.

Qualifications / Requirements:

• A degree and/or related trade experience in Electrical and Instrumentation industrial installations.
• 10 years' experience in the construction industry working with contractors with relevant work experience in a similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems and how they integrate with construction elements.
• Be capable of reading and understanding Instrument, Electrical, and P&ID drawings
• Demonstrated competence in the areas of safety, workforce management, project execution, cost control, quality, and administration.
• A strong leader and problem-solver, able to build and steward trust with clients, subcontractors, and team members to effect competitive excellence and pride in teamwork with outstanding project delivery.
• Sound knowledge of construction and building techniques is required.
• Valid Journeyperson Electrician Certificate (Red Seal certification preferred).
• Valid H2S Alive, Fall Protection, Standard First Aid (Level A or C with CPR/AED), and CSTS 2020.
• Strong knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code and OH&S requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
• Proficient with hand tools, testing devices, and electrical equipment.
• Valid driver's licence
• Flexible availability for shift work, overtime, and weekends, with a strong focus on safety and self-direction
• Ability to work in various environments, including heights, confined spaces, and outdoor conditions.
