Job Title : Carpenter Job Description

We are seeking skilled carpenters to join our team for a mix of tasks primarily involving framing and sheeting carpentry. This includes back framing, wall sheeting, in-fill wall work, and roof sheeting. The role requires the use of basic hand and power tools, reading blueprints, moving materials, lumber, sweeping, and site cleanup. The ideal candidate will demonstrate initiative and independent thinking.

Responsibilities

• Perform back framing, wall sheeting, in-fill wall work, and roof sheeting.
• Use basic hand and power tools effectively.
• Read and interpret blueprints.
• Move materials and lumber as needed.
• Conduct site cleanup and maintain cleanliness.
• Show initiative and work independently.

Work Environment

Work on the OLOR Church project, a wood frame church site. The workday runs from 7am to 3 : 30pm, with breaks including a 15-minute morning break, a 30-minute lunch, and a 15-minute afternoon break. The site is transit-accessible, and employees are expected to work 8 hours a day.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Victoria, BC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $38.00 / hr.
