Job Description : Windows System Administrator
We are seeking a skilled Windows System Administrator to manage and support our server infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have experience with Windows Server environments, virtualization, and security protocols.
Responsibilities :
- Configure and administer Windows Server 2008 / 2012 / 2016.
- Manage physical and virtual servers to ensure maximum uptime.
- Troubleshoot Windows OS issues and handle escalated L3 support.
- Implement and monitor Windows security, including permissions, file sharing, and event logging.
- Maintain Active Directory and network infrastructure.
- Support server builds, upgrades, migrations, and patch management.
- Document technologies, standards, and procedures.
- Administer VMware ESX servers, create VMs, and manage templates.
- Assist in P2V and V2V conversions using VMware tools.
- Monitor VM performance and ensure security compliance.
- Troubleshoot hardware issues using ILO and Client SIM.
- Upgrade hardware firmware for servers from vendors like Dell and IBM.
- Perform regular health checks and optimize server performance.
- Support on-call rotation to maintain SLA commitments.
