The Opportunity :

This is an exciting opportunity for a Sr. DevOps Engineer to work with a team of driven, experienced engineers and data scientists building our next generation behavioral analytics platform for our fast-growing SaaS business.

You are great at :

• Automating CI / CD & IaC : processes, workflows, configurations (AWS CLI, AWS SDK for Python Boto3, GoLang, Python and Bash scripting, Comfortable with Linux & command line)
• Driving the adoption of DevOps best practices, tools, and processes across the team.
• Providing guidance and support for infrastructure automation, CI / CD, and cloud-based infrastructure management.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to implement and improve CI / CD pipelines.
• Developing and maintaining automated infrastructure and application provisioning and configuration management
• Designing and maintaining monitoring and alerting systems to ensure system uptime and stability for the SaaS environment.
• Working with others on the development team to ensure proper coding practices, deployment and release management.
• Staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies related to DevOps, cloud infrastructure, and automation.
• Troubleshooting and responding to production incidents, when necessary, in support of the L1 team.
• Planning, designing, evaluating, coding, implementing, and testing the deployment, monitoring, scaling and administrative infrastructure for the hosted deployment of our SaaS offering.
• Looking for opportunities to reduce costs associated with our SaaS offerings and internal infrastructure.

What it takes :

• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or related field.
• At least 4 years of hands-on experience with cloud / SaaS applications.
• Knowledge of current DevOps standards and best practices.
• Automating builds, gated builds, and packaging for deployment.
• Maintaining a production build system for a large software project.
• Expertise to suggest and or develop better or alternative ways to implement our existing builds, reduce build times, and implement CI / CD pipelines.
• Experience with the following technology areas :
• In-depth knowledge of AWS PaaS services (EKS, VPC, Lambda, EC2, EMR, S3, CloudWatch, CloudFormation, ECR, IAM etc).
• Linux / Unix administration and command line tools.
• Deep experience & proficient with IAC concepts and tools (Terraform, Kubernetes, etc.)
• Developing pipelines with Jenkins.
• Docker images, and AWS cloud container services.
• Experience with integrating testing, quality, and security capabilities with CICD pipelines.
• You can work with product managers, cross-functional engineering teams and other stakeholders translating practical usability feedback into technical requirements and back again.
• Passion for creating and optimizing solutions to complex technology problems.
