Health & Safety Specialist
About Our Client
Our client, located in Vaughan is hiring a Health & Safety Specialist on a permanent basis.
Responsibilities :
- Responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing safety programs to ensure compliance with Ontario regulations and industry standards
- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures
- Conduct site inspections and audits
- Lead incident investigations and corrective actions
- Facilitate safety training sessions
- Maintain compliance documentation
- Collaborate with stakeholders and regulatory bodies
- Key role in promoting safety culture and risk mitigation across projects
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field
Professional certification in health and safety (e.g., CRSP, CHSC) preferred
- 8-10 years of health and safety management experience
- Knowledge of Ontario OHSA and Construction Projects Regulation
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
