Block Shop Component Cleaner - Level 1

Description

• Correctly and efficiently preparing parts, including sealing all orifices and other protective measures
• Cleaning of components using high pressure washer
• Mart, caustic, and / or acid washing a variety of product types without causing damage to parts

Qualifications :

• A minimum of 6 months working in Wage Grade 1 or higher (internal candidates)
• Strong organizational skills and ability to follow work instructions
• Ability to regularly lift and handle material weighing up to 40 pounds
• Mechanical aptitude and background is preferred
• Must be able to communicate written and spoken English effectively
• Experience cleaning components and high-pressure washing preferred
• Previous experience in a heavy-duty equipment facility is preferred
• A condition of employment is the ability to be fit tested and the ability to wear a respirator
• Candidate must demonstrate the ability to work in a safe manner and comply in all aspects of the organizations policies and procedures

Note :

• This posting is for a static afternoon shift scheduled Monday Thursday; 10 hours per day
• Any future shift changes that may occur will be made in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Collective Agreement

• Hourly Rate : $24.00 - $31.00 / Hour

Union Membership : This is a unionized position. Terms of employment are governed by a collective agreement.
