Klohn Crippen Berger Ltd. (KCB) is expanding its Transportation group and has an attractive opportunity in our Vancouver office for Senior Bridge Engineers .
As a Senior Bridge Engineer, you will lead complex bridge design projects from concept to completion, working closely with clients, multidisciplinary teams, and stakeholders.
In addition to your technical expertise, you will manage project delivery, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
Current and past projects include : Keating Cross Road Flyover (Saanich, BC), 78 Street Interchange (Delta, BC), Dry Creek Bridge (Hudson's Hope, BC), Hwy 407 East Phase 2 Design Build (Oshawa, ON), and Vedder Bridge Replacement Design Build (Chilliwack, BC.
What you would engage in :
- Lead the structural design and analysis of bridges and related infrastructure for both new construction and rehabilitation projects.
- Provide mentorship for engineers, technicians, and drafters.
- Oversee project management activities, including budgeting, resource planning, timelines, and deliverables.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing technical advice and ensuring clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Collaborate with internal teams (civil, geotechnical, transportation) and external stakeholders (contractors, government agencies) to ensure project goals are met.
- Conduct site visits and inspections as required to monitor project progress and ensure design compliance.
- Prepare technical reports, design documents, specifications, and presentations for both internal and external audiences.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers and project team members.
- Ensure all projects comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental considerations.
What we require :
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field (Master's degree is a plus).
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation required.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in bridge design, including both structural analysis and construction support.
- Proven skillset in managing large-scale infrastructure projects within the consulting engineering sector.
- Proficiency in structural design software such as AutoCAD, SAP2000, STAAD.Pro, or similar tools.
- An ability to foster relationships, cultivating client engagement and team support.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, while maintaining scope, team and budget continuity.

The salary for this position is $130,000 to $180,000 per year. Salary is based on applicable experience, education, and skill level.
