Your Key Responsibilities
- Act as structural lead and designer for small and medium sized engineering assignments, with intent to develop skills towards a future discipline lead / project manager role for larger projects
- Attend site visits related to pre-design information gathering, construction and postconstruction review
- Coordinate work with other disciplines including highway / road, electrical, drainage and environmental planning
- Analysis, evaluate appropriate design solutions and design of transportation structures including bridges, culverts, retaining walls and foundation
- Direct CAD team for drawing preparation and review deliverables prior to submission to client
- Prepare and review technical reports, tender documents and cost estimate
- Provide tender evaluations and / or construction engineering services
- Work within assigned project budgets and schedules
- Mentor junior staff with regards to project work
Qualifications
Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Strong computer skills, including experience with CAD and SAP2000, CSiBridge, SFRAME
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong, interpersonal and presentation skills
- Able to work in a team environment and excel in both bridge and multi-disciplined projects
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Ability to mentor technical development of others
- Works well with minimal direct supervision
- Exercises independent judgment
- Interest in working both in the office and the field environment
- Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle
Education and Experience
- B.ASc. or B.Eng. in Civil / Structural Engineering, with strong interest and experience in structures, particularly bridges.
- P.Eng. status and minimum 6 years of proven experience in design using Canadian codes and design standards.

Lower Mainland $107,600 - Lower Mainland $161,400 Min / Max Pay Range for postings located in BC (Lower Mainland includes Vancouver & Burnaby)
The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
