Job Description
- Using applicable SOPs and test methods, perform membrane filtration analysis of water, soil, and other substrates;
- Complete data entry into the LIMS system;
- Prepare stock cultures and agars;
- Maintain good laboratory housekeeping at all times;
- Report Micro samples to clients using LIMS system;
- Report Micro exceedances to clients and the MOE
- Keep track of consumables inventory and request supplies for ordering, as required;
- Follow the Quality System as documented in the Quality Assurance Manual; and
- Other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- University degree or college diploma in a biology-related field;
- Basic computer literacy;
- Experience with microbiology testing is an asset;
- Laboratory safety and WHMIS training;
- Technical knowledge of applicable test methods;
- Weekend and / or holiday shifts are required; and
- Overtime may be required, as necessary
