More About the Role :

As Logistics Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing the logistical needs of the Certified Used asset management team by aiding in the safe return and timely redeployment of our equipment assets across Canada.

You will be required to find financial and time saving solutions that optimize our customer’s experience with SilverChef while keeping costs reasonable.

Specifically, your role will include :

• Coordinating the timely transport of inbound and outbound shipments from multiple dealer locations, service facilities, and customer locations, both through LTL and full truck bookings.
• Developing strong operational relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including freight forwarders, carriers, movers, dealers and service partners, to optimize cost-effectiveness in asset transportation.
• Providing solution-focused, professional, and timely responses to all customers experience issues and inquiries.
• Working with Salesforce, Outlook, Telephone, and text to Communicate effectively with customers, members of the team, as well as other departments, regularly updating them on any challenges or outcomes.
• Regularly conduct detailed freight price analysis, modelling pricing schedules to optimize cost-effectiveness.
• Assisting in the continuous review and improvement of Certified Used policies, procedures, and processes, and training, focusing on enhancing asset management.
• Filing insurance claims with carriers as necessary to recover costs for any assets damaged in transit.
• Supporting other functions of the broader Certified Used team during absences or when additional assistance is needed.

• Demonstrating a friendly, helpful demeanour and a team-focused approach to ensure that Certified Used assets are deployed efficiently and effectively.

Key Qualities

• 2 - 3 years of experience in freight forwarding; trucking coordinator; or moving coordinator
• 2 - 5 years of customer service or administrative experience is essential.
• Highly organized freight professional that can show the persistence and creativity necessary to address complex situations or tight deadlines
• Flexible and solutions-driven team player with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent computer literacy in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, & Word. Experience working with Salesforce is also an asset.
• High level of interpersonal skills, including the ability to liaise, advise, and interact effectively with other staff members and customers.
• Canada & USA cross-border import / export experience, particularly through trucking, is an asset.
• Sales experience and knowledge of hospitality equipment will be advantageous.
• CIFFA Certifications in a related discipline is highly regarded.
• French language skills, both written and verbal, will be considered a strong asset
