Web Developer .NET

Our client that is in the retail industry is looking a Web Developer (.NET) to join our team. This position is responsible for developing innovative, reusable Web-based tools.

This is a hands-on development role to develop, support, troubleshoot, and monitor several key applications and associated tools such as Data integration platform, Master Data Management and Business Intelligence tools for reporting, analytics and visualizations.

The .NET Web Developer works closely with the Development and Design team to build specifications and make recommendations on the use of new and emerging technologies.

They are responsible for the technical design, coding, unit testing, integration testing, and code support with a handoff to the DevOps team for deployment and operations support.

Qualifications :

• Minimum 7+ years of programming experience required with background in .NET, C#, VB.net, MVC, SQL Server
• Knowledge in OOP concepts
• Thorough knowledge on XHTML / CSS / JavaScript / jQuery
• Experience in SSIS / ADF / SSRS preferred
• Experience using Azure or other cloud-based platforms
• Sound knowledge of traditional as well as agile software development methodologies
• University degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related fields is an asset
• Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills; verbal and written communication skills; interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to work in a rapid, priority shifting environment, with a demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks.
• Passionate about staying current on the latest development in technology and digital space
• Highly effective working in a team, as well as independently

Responsibilities :

• Responsible for designing, coding and implementing within the the company's web applications
• Develop creative solutions for any internet related requirements including writing the programming code, either from scratch or by adapting existing website software
• Responsible for the development and maintenance of web applications
• Determine appropriate architecture, and other technical solutions, and make relevant recommendations to business teams
• Independently manage multiple projects and work with cross-functional teams both internal and external
• Coding and testing
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while exhibiting professionalism to ensure an incredible stakeholder experience
• Create automated reporting in all business functions, driving competitive advantage for the company and facilitating faster and better management decisions
• Collaborate and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure business data needs are addressed
• Identify business objectives and process workflows, gather requirements from stakeholders, translate requirements into technical specification, create user stories.
• Extract and merge data sets from multiple data sources. Perform data cleansing, transformation, exploration, analysis
