FPGA Designer

JOB DESCRIPTION

Description :

Individual will be responsible for design and development of hardware for FPGA (integrated circuits on PCB boards). They will be designing and need to understand (Verification and Validation) in a grey box environment.

They will have to test Hardware. The V&V team will use RTL simulation to help with accuracy of testing, and to improve the design and programming of the FPGA Hardware.

FPGA Verification Test Bench Design from concept to implementation including :

• Creating FPGA designs using the VHDL language
• Simulating your designs using Questa Sim
• Utilizing Xilinx design tools for synthesis, implementation, debugging and timing closure
• Assisting the Verification Team as required
• Generating high quality documentation
• Integrating library modules within a larger FPGA design
• Verifying, Testing and debugging in hardware
• Participating in regular design reviews
• Presenting FPGA status updates at regular NPI project meetings
• Supporting product sustaining operations
• Following departmental practices and coding guidelines
• Providing input and support to others outside of the FPGA team
• Contributing to the team’s knowledge by sharing lessons learned

MUST HAVE 1 : FPGA Hardware Design

• Individual must have experience reading and writing VHDL
• Understand Tool Flow

MUST HAVE 2 : Strong Documentation

Writing clear and concise documentation in a timely manner

NICE TO HAVES : V&V (Simulation) ASIC, Analog and Digital Design, Digital Signalling.
