Axxel RH is an HR and talent acquisition firm and we are currently looking for a Tax Manager for our client, a Canadian accounting firm with over 35 years of professional experience and headquartered in Ontario.

The firm provides a full range of services to business and professional clients, as well as individuals and their families in Canada, the U.

S., and abroad. We are looking for an individual with leadership and management skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, the ability to provide excellent client service, strong organizational skills with the ability to successfully manage multiple priorities, engagements, and deadlines.

They must be adaptable, flexible, and possess strong technical skills and multi-tasking skills to manage all these components while working on multiple engagements at the same time.

This senior position is expected to lead by example and mentor staff accountants regarding professional conduct, customer service and share technical knowledge.

Responsibilities and duties : Manage assigned tax engagements and provide business advisory services. Offer tax planning and advice to clients, ensuring impeccable customer service.

Identify and resolve major tax concerns promptly. Develop a deep understanding of clients' business, financial, and tax affairs.

Deliver industry and technical expertise in tax through various means. Manage tax department financials, including budgets and billing.

Strategically assess client needs and maximize relationships. Monitor project timelines, adjust as necessary, and communicate status to clients.

Collaborate with team members to discuss roles, responsibilities, and deadlines. Plan work timing, staffing, and progress monitoring for engagements.

Maintain quality control by reviewing work for accuracy and completeness. Ensure proper documentation and procedures are followed.

Liaise professionally with clients, colleagues, and firm leadership. Coordinate engagement preparation and maintain regular client contact.

Uphold firm policies, standards, and accounting regulations. Recommend corporate reorganizations for tax optimization. Coach, train, and develop team members.

Provide clear instructions and maintain open communication. Set and track performance goals, address issues, and exercise judgment.

Qualifications : Professional accounting designation CPA 6-8 years' experience in an accounting firm Excellent team spirit Excellent computer skills (MS Office), in particular a very good command of Excel Knowledge of ERP systems Strong project management, analytical and organizational skills Experience in personnel management and strong leadership skills Proactive, autonomous, rigorous and persevering Good organizational and time management skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (bilingualism an asset).

Les candidats doivent faire preuve d'adaptabilité et de souplesse et posséder de solides compétences techniques et des aptitudes à mener plusieurs tâches de front pour gérer tous ces éléments tout en travaillant sur plusieurs missions à la fois.

Le titulaire de ce poste de haut niveau doit montrer l'exemple et encadrer les comptables salariés en ce qui concerne le comportement professionnel, le service à la clientèle et le partage des connaissances techniques.

Responsabilités et tâches : Gérer les missions fiscales qui lui sont confiées et fournir des services de conseil aux entreprises.

Offrir une planification fiscale et des conseils aux clients, en assurant un service à la clientèle impeccable. Identifier et résoudre rapidement les problèmes fiscaux majeurs.

Développer une compréhension approfondie des affaires commerciales, financières et fiscales des clients. Fournir une expertise sectorielle et technique en matière de fiscalité par divers moyens.

Gérer les finances du département fiscal, y compris les budgets et la facturation. Évaluer stratégiquement les besoins des clients et optimiser les relations.

Contrôler les échéances des projets, les ajuster si nécessaire et communiquer l'état d'avancement aux clients. Collaborer avec les membres de l'équipe pour discuter des rôles, des responsabilités et des échéances.

Planifier le calendrier des travaux, la dotation en personnel et le suivi de l'avancement des missions. Assurer le contrôle de la qualité en vérifiant l'exactitude et l'exhaustivité du travail.

Veiller à ce que la documentation et les procédures appropriées soient respectées. Assurer une liaison professionnelle avec les clients, les collègues et la direction du cabinet.

Coordonner la préparation des missions et maintenir un contact régulier avec les clients. Respecter les politiques, les normes et les règles comptables du cabinet.

Recommander des réorganisations d'entreprises en vue d'une optimisation fiscale. Encadrer, former et développer les membres de l'équipe.

Fournir des instructions claires et maintenir une communication ouverte. Fixer des objectifs de performance et en assurer le suivi, résoudre les problèmes et faire preuve de discernement.

Qualifications : Désignation comptable professionnelle CPA 6-8 ans d'expérience en cabinet comptable Excellent esprit d'équipe Excellentes habiletés informatiques (MS Office), en particulier une très bonne maîtrise d’Excel Connaissance système ERP Solides compétences en matière de gestion de projet, d'analyse et d'organisation Expérience en gestion de personnel et solides compétences en matière de leadership Proactif, autonome, rigoureux et persévérant Un bon sens de l’organisation et bonne gestion du temps Excellentes aptitudes de communication écrite et verbale, en anglais (bilinguisme un atout).
