Requirements
JobDescription :
Lawfuland Ethical Conduct : Act lawfully and with honesty andintegrity. Treat everyone with courtesy equality and withoutdiscrimination.
Perform duties with a commitment to protectingstore customers employees andassets.
- Licensing andIdentification : Always carry a valid security workerslicense while onduty.
- Punctuality andAppearance : Arrive on time in uniform and neatlydressed.
- Surveillance andTheft Prevention : Be vigilant for theft and assist storeemployees by creating a deterrent to theft through presence andapprehension ofshoplifters.
- Arrest and Useof Force : Ensure arrests comply with the Criminal Code ofCanada (Sections 494 25 &26).
- Pursuit ofSuspects : Pursue shoplifters safely and only on foot. Donot engage in unsafe actions such as vehicularpursuits.
- IncidentReporting : Report all criminal incidents to storemanagement and submit detailed reports before the end of yourshift.
- Interaction withCustomers and Employees : Limit conversations to necessaryinteractions and do not use personal electronic devices except inemergencies.
- ShiftProtocols : Report to store management at the beginning ofeach shift and sign the securitylog.
Requirements :
- License : Valid Security Worker sLicense.
- Certification : Current basic Security Training (BST) certificate
- Experience : Atleast 1 year of AST experience(required).
- Skills : Excellent communication observational and problemsolvingskill
