The Faculty of Nursing currently offers four graduate programs (Graduate Certificates, Master of Nursing, and the Collaborative MN-Nurse Practitioner).

The Collaborative Nurse Practitioner Program is delivered in collaboration with Saskatchewan Polytechnic. This is an on-site position, located in Regina, at the University of Regina.

The position is the first point of contact for prospective, new, and current students and responds to general inquiries to the Faculty of Nursing.

Reporting to the Faculty Administrator, this position is responsible for supporting Faculty of Nursing programs and initiatives, as well as the Associate Dean (Research, Scholarship and Graduate Programs).

What You Will Do :

Be the first point of contact for current and prospective nursing students : You will support both current and prospective students by responding to in-person, telephone, and email inquiries.

Answering inquiries related to course registration procedures, assisting students with in-person and online registration, including instructing them on special registration permissions.

You will also assist in the management of various shared email inboxes to ensure inquiries are responded to in an efficient and accurate fashion.

Assist with Faculty of Nursing events : You will be part of various exciting events such as recruitment, convocation, residency week, and new student information sessions.

Some travel may be required to attend events which may occur outside of normal business hours.

Assist with the management of calendars and room bookings : You will schedule appointments for students with a variety of individuals.

Arranges and prepares meeting agendas and minutes for a variety of committees.

Maintain student records and confidential information : You will maintain electronic student records and update them on a regular basis.

Responsible for creating and maintaining spreadsheets and collection of data. Compiles data and information, prepares correspondence, and audits with respect to a variety of academic actions and processes (e.

g., admissions, scholarships, Dean’s honour list, convocation applications, convocation processes, attrition tracking, etc.).

Supports the Graduate Student Services Team : You will contribute to operational student services processes. Work collaboratively with program partners on a variety of assignments.

Act as backup for other student services administrative support positions.

Position Requirements What You Will Bring to the Position :

  • Grade 12 is supplemented by the successful completion of a recognized business course.
  • Minimum of three years of experience related to the required duties. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Skills to Ensure You are Successful in the Role :

  • Demonstrated knowledge of office practices, principles, and procedures.
  • Excellent organizational skills including a proven ability to work effectively with minimal supervision, prioritize work and balance multiple tasks and shifting priorities.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy is required.
  • Proficiency in the use of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access).
  • Strong oral and written communication skills ability to effectively communicate with faculty, staff, program partners, students, and community.
  • Strong service-orientated background.
  • Ability to handle confidential material with discretion.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and an ability to develop and maintain effective collegial working relationships.
  • Knowledge of the University of Regina’s programs, policies and processes including registration, convocation, academic action, transfer credit, and grade changes.
  • Knowledge of University information systems including Banner, CASPUR Reports, Degree Audit, and Outlook.
  • Demonstrated skill in learning and operating a wide variety of databases and information systems.
  • Knowledge of University policies on academic evaluation, discipline, and appeals (e.g., deferrals, withdrawals, academic misconduct, and academic appeals).
  • Demonstrated reliability and good judgment.
  • Ability to demonstrate analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Work outside regular hours may be required on occasion.
