CAE Parc Aviation, the global leader in resourcing and technical services for the aviation industry, is currently seeking a Head of Fleet and Passenger Scheduling for our esteemed client based in Hong Kong.

This role represents a senior executive position within the company.

Reports to : General Manager Planning

Role Overview :

The Head of Fleet and Passenger Scheduling will play a pivotal role in shaping the airline’s fleet strategy and leading the Fleet and Passenger Scheduling Teams.

The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring effective planning, coordination, and management of the airline’s fleet and hub resources.

The primary objective is to support the company’s long and short-term network strategy and optimize financial return.

Key Responsibilities

Fleet Planning

  • Mastermind the Group fleet strategy and the formulation of the Company’s long and short-term operating plans
  • Establish the Company’s long-term fleet requirements to best support those operating plans
  • Produce economic evaluation for fleet selection, including but not limited to conducting modelling, performing profitability analysis with a view of the long-term investment decision to optimize financial return.
  • Evaluate different fleet options (size, type, mix) and make timely recommendations to the Fleet Steering Group
  • Prepare business cases and board papers for aircraft acquisitions and decisions
  • Run and co-chair the aircraft governance process, including the Fleet Steering Group, with Aircraft Trading and Engineering
  • Run and chair the LOPA Steering Group and define the optimal configuration for different aircraft types to match commercial and operational requirements
  • Lead cross departmental teams to execute fleet related projects on time, within budget and in accordance to the business case
  • Evaluate the commercial performance of the fleet, identify opportunities to optimise profitability and lead change where commercially justifiable
  • Based on the endorsed fleet plan, define the requirement for new aircraft, including but not limited to induction plan, LOPAs, payload capacity, options for acquisition and cost modelling
  • Participate in commercial negotiations

Scheduling

  • Lead the scheduling teams to devise an operating plan which optimizes the company’s key resources
  • Refine the schedules in conjunction with Passenger Network team to reinforce airline’s competitiveness as premium hub carriers
  • Ensure deliverability of the operating plan and schedules through close collaboration with the operational stakeholders
  • Manage the ongoing resource optimization process through activities including, but not limited to, monthly aircraft deployment, capacity rationalization and charters
  • Manage the worldwide slots portfolio strategically
  • Identify and initiate process and productivity improvements within the various planning processes, leveraging digital data in particular

Others

Manage the overall system requirements for the Planning team

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in airline management or a similar role
  • Demonstrated strong business vision and commercial acumen
  • High proficiency with data and numbers
  • Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Track record of leading new initiatives and processes for continuous improvement
  • Trusted to appropriately handle commercially sensitive and confidential information.
