The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to :

• Provide technologist and technician services to projects either individually or as part of a larger project team. Services may include :
• Drafting and design of various civil and water resources projects
• Preliminary and construction surveying
• Construction Supervision
• Compiling reports
• Ensuring the projects’ needs are met in a timely and effective manner
• Working with and maintaining a positive relationship with clients and contractors
• Work in both office and field settings

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelors degree + 2 years of relevant experience OR Diploma / Certificate + 4 years of relevant experience
• Experience collecting preliminary survey data using GPS, Total Station Technology and / or conventional survey equipment
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and design software such as Civil 3D is desired.
• Sound understanding of drawing layouts using pre-established standards on items such as text styles, blocks, etc.
• Familiar with materials testing procedures and construction coordination services

Preferred Qualifications

• Graduate of an Engineering Technology program of CADD program
• Experience performing construction layout surveys is an asset
• Accuracy with details and excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential
