New Value Solutions, a national IT consulting company is seeking a Microsoft Dynamics Business Analyst to help our client define, plan, document, and implement solutions, engaging with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
The role will involve drafting business cases, use cases, current state and future states, end-to-end documentation, complex process workflows, product roadmaps, Service Level Agreements, test plans and scripts, training materials, and standard operating procedures
Responsibilities :
- Collaborates with business areas, technology teams, and external partners to implement strategies and priorities
- Leads business analysis to gather, document, and translate requirements into functional workflows
- Engages stakeholders to clarify undefined business processes and requirements
- Facilitates requirement discussions and documents business, functional, non-functional, and transitional needs
- Drafts business cases, participates in RFx processes, and supports RFP vendor selection
- Assesses project deliverables against business needs and documents findings
- Creates business, process, data, and workflow models, even when requirements are unclear
- Acts as a liaison between project teams and third-party vendors
- Tracks requirements with a traceability matrix throughout the project lifecycle
- Develops business cases, briefing notes, and decision documents for business and technology changes
- Analyzes current and future states, creating use cases, test plans, and user acceptance scripts
- Tests deliverables with developers and business leads for functionality and quality
- Prepares functional specs for conversions, upgrades, interfaces, reports, and workflows
- Ensures change requirements are defined, approved, tested, and migrated properly
- Serves as a subject matter expert on new systems, upgrades, or modified services
- Guides clients through processes, suggesting improvements
- Contributes to privacy and security reviews, assessing risks and mitigation strategies
- Uses project tools (MS Office, SharePoint, MS DevOps, OnePlan, MS Project) effectively
- Identifies, develops, and delivers training for end users
- Creates service agreements and standard operating procedures
- Conducts research to troubleshoot and learn technologies
- Provides routine support for applications managed by the Application Services team
- Partners with departments on efficiency initiatives like automation and streamlining
- Monitors IMIT requests and participates in post-implementation reviews
- Performs other assigned duties
Requirements :
Education and Experience :
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- 5+ years in business analysis, requirements gathering, solution evaluation, and documentation
- 8+ years of Business Analysis in complex environments, with 5+ as a Senior Business Analyst preferred
- Project experience with CRM technology, including Microsoft Dynamics 365, M365, Power BI, MS Azure Cloud
- Agile, hybrid, and waterfall project lifecycle experience
- Experience with COTS systems, custom development, and business architecture
- RFx document development, vendor selection, and contract structuring experience
- Stakeholder engagement (Director level and above)
- Strategic planning and / or product management preferred
- Healthcare sector and / or facilities project experience considered an asset
- Experience as Single Point of Contact for business, clients, or customers for new products / systems is an asset
- Proficient with project tools, such as MS Project, OnePlan, Azure DevOps, Jira, monday.com
Occupational Certification :
- Business Analysis certification (e.g., ECBA, CCBA, CBAP, PMI-PBA)
- Experience with work tools (MS DevOps, TFS, monday.com, IBM Rational, Jira) is an asset
- ITIL Foundation (Version 3.0 or 4.0) is an asset
- Agile certification preferred (e.g., IIBA-AAC, PMI-ACP, DASM, CSM)
- Advanced MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio, SharePoint)
