This role involves remote / work from home with a requirement for a minimum of two (2) days per week working onsite and may be subject to change as the organization works through its hybrid workforce plan and / or changing needs of the Foundation.

The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) is Canada’s largest mental health teaching hospital and one of the world’s leading research centres in its field.

CAMH Foundation is charged with raising and stewarding funds in support of CAMH. Its role is to help transform the way we understand and address mental illness by raising awareness and increasing engagement across the country.

The Research Team is responsible for leading the Development Research service, proactive prospect identification, as well as the Prospect Management Process.

THE OPPORTUNITY :

Reporting to the Manager, Development Research and Prospect Management with close collaboration with the Director, Business Intelligence, the Coordinator will support the day-to-day activities of the Development Research Team and will assist with project coordination for the Operations Team.

The Coordinator will work alongside the Development Research Team to complete a variety of on-going research activities, such as data entry, record maintenance projects, news alerts, and donation qualification The Coordinator will work on event related research including creating event snapshots and research briefs and will assist with pre and post event qualification.

Further the Coordinator will contribute to larger proactive research projects and prospecting by working alongside and collaborating with team members.

The Coordinator will assist the Operations Team with the planning, tracking, monitoring, documenting, and reporting of fundraising operation’s projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Ensure a high level of data quality and integrity in Raiser’s Edge through timely and accurate data entry and record maintenance
  • Proactively monitor and communicate relevant news, events and issues that impact fundraising and economic trends and mental health developments
  • Assist with the qualification of new and existing donors who make gifts to CAMH
  • Assist with the qualification of prospects who self-identify as having an interest in CAMH via surveys and other outreach to the Foundation
  • Complete event snapshots and assist with pre and post event qualification
  • Proactively identify new prospects for the fundraising teams
  • Assist with other research projects and tasks
  • Assist with various aspects of fundraising operations projects, such as planning, tracking action items, monitoring, documenting, and reporting (utilizing project software and tools)
  • Coordinate project meetings and handle communication with project team members
  • Assist with scheduling of activities required for projects
  • Assist with maintaining up to date project schedules, milestone dates, risk logs, issues logs, change logs
  • Follow project management standards and procedures for project reporting and documentation
  • Coordinates project activities, such as testing, user acceptance testing, user training, and go-live preparations
  • Assist with booking internal team meetings, taking notes, and tracking action items
  • Act as a back up for Donor Experience Representatives as required
  • Related post-secondary education or college certificate program
  • 1-2 years of experience in a development research, fundraising, project coordination, or non-profit environment
  • Knowledge and understanding of fundraising and prospect research, with a desire to learn how to conduct prospect research
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies (i.e., PMBOK)
  • Advanced internet searching skills and ability to summarize large volumes of information
  • Well-developed skills and experience with using Microsoft 365 environment, including products such as Teams, Word, Excel, Visio, Project and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in Raiser’s Edge or similar software is an asset
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask
  • Ability to take and provide constructive feedback
  • Strong written communication skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills and flexible team player
  • Demonstrated willingness to learn and commitment to the cause and organizational values
