Job responsibilities :
This designer will be responsible for the visual design of the work for the payments portion of the business banking digital experience.
They will apply visual design expertise to bring meaning and understanding to the digital experiences we create, establishing visual hierarchies of importance so that our clients and employees can engage more easily and in more meaningful ways with our digital products.
- Additionally, they will bring a strong product designer lens in working collaboratively with designers across other features of the portal to ensure a seamless user experience.
- They will play a leadership role in identifying the design problem to be solved, collaborating with cross-functional team members to form solution hypotheses, and work within the product and development squads to bring the design to fruition.
Must have skills :
- Ability to design for system-level consistency, and think in terms of components and modules as well as full screens; experience working with design systems and standardized libraries of assets, experience and expertise in mobile responsiveness and accessibility
- Strong understanding of CSS and atomic design
- Elegantly deals with complex information, making it simple to comprehend
- A willingness to understand and work within complex business requirements within the highly regulated context of the bank
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Nice to have skills :
- Experience working in Figma
- Experience leading and / or contributing to design research efforts
- Experience using journey maps and story boards as a design tool for telling the story of the experience we hope to create
