Part-Time Educational Assistant

The Peace River School Division is seeking applications for a Part-Time (0.89 f.t.e.) Educational Assistant at Paul Rowe Jr / Sr.

High School. This position will commence as soon as possible and continue until June 27, 2025. The successful candidate will be working with students with diverse needs in classroom, small group, and one on one situations.

Paul Rowe High School is located in the town of Manning, a small farming community situated in northern Alberta about 100 kms northwest of Peace River.

The school serves students from grades 7-12 and offers a wide variety of programming to support student learning.

Qualifications :

Educational Assistant Certificate or equivalent is preferred

Experience and / or training with English Language Learners and FNMI learners

Skills :

Ability to work with technology such as laptops and chromebooks

Ability to manage and organize programming and keep records

Ability to work with children with varied ages, skill level, needs and abilities

Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with teachers

Ability to work as part of a team

Ability to work independently

Commitment and accountability

Requirements :

Provide an acceptable current Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check

Rate of Pay :

$20.72 to $ 25.99 per hour (dependent on experience and education in accordance with the collective agreement between the CUPE Local 4839 and the Peace River School Division).
