The Opportunity

As a Project Coordinator working in our Civil & Infrastructure Operations team at Pomerleau Construction, you manage several activities and deadlines to gain a clearer picture of client, team and project needs.

Working on large-scale building and infrastructure projects ranging from $1.5 million to upwards of $1 billion you will play a crucial role in the successful management of stakeholder communications, ensuring resource availability, and overseeing various administrative tasks.

Please note that this role is for the Woodfibre LNG project 7 km from Squamish. This is daytime shift based work at a remote project site with accommodations on a Floatel.

The successful candidate will need to be comfortable working within this environment.

What YOU Will Do

• Work closely with the Senior Project Manager and Project Team by providing assistance with coordination and project support.
• Collaborate and keep the lines of communication open when working with team members, trade partners, consultants and clients.
• Take pride in your ability to effectively review, interpret and update the construction schedules.
• Utilize your passion for organization through maintenance, review and follow-up of shop drawings, RFI’s, material purchase orders, change notice quotes and project completion documents.
• Effectively collect, review and analyze project quotes with emphasis on obtaining the very best prices in the market.
• Take pride in compiling and completing company wide project reports.
• Assemble, attend, document and emphasize the importance of project meetings.
• Provide necessary support to our Quality department regarding project start-up documentation.
• Demonstrate leadership in Health, Safety and Environmental Protection on the project. Effectively apply the requirements of the project specific safety standards to promote Pomerleau’s HS&E standards, applicable OH&S acts, regulations and codes with all employees and trade partners on the project.

What YOU Will Bring

• 3-5 years’ experience in the civil and / or infrastructure construction industry.
• A University Degree / Technology Diploma in Engineering, or a combination of education and industry experience.
• Previous experience working on a large-scale construction project civil / infrastructure
• A proven track record of project coordination and team collaboration.
• Solid written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work on your own initiative and provide creative solutions to problems that present themselves.
• Comfortable in working at a remote camp project in Squamish

The expected salary range for this opportunity is $70,000 - $90,000, plus applicable Project Assignment Uplift. Please note that salaries may vary depending on the candidate’s experience and geographical location.
