Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Project Coordinator to join our team, focusing on projects within the downstream oil and gas sector.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project coordination, exceptional communication skills, and a minimum of 4 years experience in the downstream oil and gas industry.

The position is approximately 70% office-based, and an expectation of about 30% of the time in the field monitoring the progress of your project and meeting with clients.

The Project Coordinator collaborates with internal stakeholders, including Project Managers and environmental professionals, to set up, manage, and report on environmental services.

This position will support billing, project invoicing, and project support, with a client-centred focus on building and maintaining positive client relationships to drive successful outcomes with various environmental programs.

What would you be doing?

  • Collaborate with PMs to develop detailed project plans, including scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelines.
  • Use project management tools to create schedules and track progress.
  • Review, assess, and amend data entries to ensure projects comply with internal processes and external requirements.
  • Facilitate effective communication among project teams, clients, and stakeholders to ensure reports are completed timely and accurately.
  • Act as a liaison between stakeholders to ensure seamless project reports and timelines coordination.
  • Assist in allocating and utilizing resources, including equipment and materials. Monitor resource availability and make recommendations to ensure optimal utilization.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, meeting minutes, and status reports.
  • Generate and distribute regular progress reports to stakeholders.
  • Partner with Project Managers to track budgets and expenditures.
  • Report on budget variances and assist in identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure deliverables meet quality standards and comply with relevant regulations, guidelines, and timelines.
  • Complete administrative duties within required timelines.
  • Other responsibilities and projects as assigned.

Does this sound like you?

  • Technical Diploma or University Degree in a related field.
  • More than 4+ years in environmental consulting.
  • In-depth working knowledge of regulatory guidelines.
  • Demonstrates a collaborative and team-orientated mindset.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels and build strong relationships.
  • Strong ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to create and maintain accurate and organized documentation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
