Description
We're looking for a qualified Station Manager to join DXP / HSE Integrated in Hamilton, ON (Stoney Creek) . The role involves providing excellent services to customers while leading a motivated and proactive team.
Here's what the position entails :
Roles and Responsibilities :
- Build strong teams through recruitment, hiring, and effective leadership.
- Determine staffing needs and oversee the interview, hiring, and training of new employees.
- Review and approve station employee timesheets and expenses.
- Manage employee performance, corrective action, and terminations.
- Proactively maintain safe and healthy working conditions by fully understanding and implementing company Health and Safety policies.
- Lead in safety excellence, ensuring best practices are followed by every employee on every job.
- Develop and execute an annual station business plan aligned with HSE's mission and Core Values.
- Identify key challenges and solutions in field operations, seeking growth opportunities for the station.
- Understand the customer base and ensure quality service delivery within the station area.
- Monitor third-party businesses and suppliers to ensure efficient service within budgetary limits.
- Maintain consistent professionalism, tact, diplomacy, and sensitivity to portray the company positively.
Required Qualifications :
- Minimum 5 years of experience managing all aspects of a business unit, including :
- Daily operations
- Employee relations
- P&L accountability
- Ongoing business development
- Quality service delivery
- Preference for candidates with business-related post-secondary education.
- Strong background in company operations, including knowledge of company policies and procedures.
- Solution-driven with the ability to organize effectively in a multi-task environment.
- Excellent communication, organization, and conflict resolution skills.
- Above-average computer skills; working knowledge of SPIRA is considered an asset.
- Ability to provide mentorship, guidance, and training to station personnel.
- Ensure employees have the tools and training required to meet customer needs.
- Excellent customer service skills.
Required Certifications & Training :
Valid unrestricted license with full driving privileges in the province of issue for the specified class of vehicle to be operated on behalf of the company or a higher class of license than that of the vehicle to be operated.
