How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

VitalAire is currently looking for a Branch Manager for our Winnipeg, MB location. The Branch Manager coordinates and supervises all operations in their area pertaining to Home Healthcare business including, but not limited to, respiratory, home oxygen and sleep apnea businesses.

The Branch Manager ensures area operations are in full compliance with both internal and external regulations and safety requirements.

The Branch Manager ensures area operations are structured to provide continuity of supply to customers in a cost effective and efficient manner.

The branch manager will ensure understanding and be held accountable for the management of financial targets and budget responsibilities.

Ensures that all operations in their area pertaining to Homecare business including, but not limited to, oxygen, sleep apnea businesses, and other related respiratory business lines are conducted in full compliance with both internal policies and procedures, external regulations including but not limited to Good Manufacturing Practices and safety requirements.

Ensures, whenever it is required, that the delivery of Medical Gases to Institutional customers in their area are conducted in full compliance with both internal policies and procedures, external regulations including but not limited to Good Manufacturing Practices and safety requirements.

Implements, schedules, prioritizes and maintains area operations conducted by VitalAire Canada employees or contractors to meet contractual obligations with our applicable funding agencies.

Ensures VitalAire clinical staff are properly trained to use and educate clients on VitalAire Canada products and equipment safety.

Ensures that adequate customer service is provided to customers at all times. Acts as a Quality Control Designate when necessary, reports and manages Homecare customer complaints and reports and quarantines non-conforming products.

If required, releases products for distribution or sale by signing batch records ensuring results meet all specifications and regulations.

Conducts regular audits to make sure that internal and external regulations, safety requirements and internal procedures are met.

Initiates accidents / incidents reports, conducts root cause analysis when required and implements corrective and preventative actions.

Delivers business results as defined by annual targets and objectives and ensures that all staff contribute efficiently and are compliant with all policies and procedures to the sales associated with the home healthcare business.

Responsible for the efficient and cost effective implementation of Homecare processes and procedures at area level. Maintains quality records in relation to operations including but not limited to patients files.

Ensures that assets used in Homecare operations are maintained according to internal procedures and traced properly. Ensures the area inventory is utilized and maintained at a target level following internal procedures.

Sets the delegation of responsibility, task direction, performance objectives, and appraisals for all direct staff. Ensures that staff and contractors are properly trained and qualified and re-qualified as required.

Recruits new staff when approved with support from Regional Director and Human Resource Department.

Where applicable - Responsible for duties & responsibilities as delegated by the Regional Director.

You may be required to perform the role of quality control designate or alternate and complete tasks related to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) for the handling of medical gases, such as the review and sign off of quality records.

All necessary training for this role is referenced in Quality Designate Training Matrix, HRM-0003, and must be completed prior to performing the activities.

50% of the Branch Managers responsibility will be sales for the area and will include liaising with industry leaders including GP's, Respirologists as well as funding bodies.

Are you a MATCH?

  • College Certificate or Diploma in a Technical / Engineering or Medical Sciences field recommended and / or post secondary business or managerial education.
  • Possesses a valid Driver's License
  • Working knowledge of Gmail and Google tools including Docs, Sheets and Slides and internet. Customer invoicing systems and all appropriate software.
  • 3-5 years of operational, supervisory or managerial experience
  • Business and / or Clinical experience
  • Respiratory Therapy or Nursing training considered an asset
