Bilingual Payroll Specialist job opening in Canada (EN / FR)
Adecco is currently seeking a Bilingual Payroll Specialist (FR / EN) to join our client's team for a 1 year maternity leave opportunity in a remote working capacity.
Please note that you must be able to work EST business hours for this remote opportunity. The Bilingual Payroll Specialist (FR / EN) will be responsible for accurately and timely processing salaried payroll for approximately 900 employees in Ontario and Quebec.
The role involves various payroll-related tasks, including manual payments, RRSP / DPSP reporting, garnishments, and responding to inquiries.
- Pay rate : $25-$28 / hour.
- Location : Remote in Canada
- Shifts : Monday-Friday 9 : 00am-5 : 00pm (EST)
- Job type : Temporary Full-time

Some of the responsibilities of the Bilingual Payroll Specialist job opening in Canada include, but are not limited to :
- Accurate and timely processing of salaried payroll for 900 employees in Toronto and Montreal.
- Calculation, processing, and updating manual payments to the payroll system.
- Preparation of RRSP / DPSP reporting and contribution files.
- Handling garnishments and family support orders, ensuring timely remittance.
- Responding to payroll-related inquiries from employees.
- Preparation and amendment of Record of Employments (ROEs).
- Reconciliation of payroll accounts and preparation of related journal entries.
- Year-end administration, including balancing, validating, and distributing tax forms, annual audits.
- Ad-hoc reporting as required.
- Other duties as assigned.
The requirements of the Bilingual Payroll Specialist job opening in Canada include :
- Must be fully bilingual in both French and English - verbal and written
- Previous experience in processing payroll for a large number of employees; Ontario and / or Quebec payroll experience is required.
- Proficient in payroll systems and manual payment processing.
- Knowledge of RRSP / DPSP reporting and contribution procedures.
- Familiarity with garnishments, family support orders, and Record of Employments.
- Strong reconciliation skills and experience in year-end administration.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to respond effectively to inquiries and perform ad-hoc reporting.
