Overview :

This position is part of the Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis team providing finance management and support to the People & Culture team, in addition to playing a key role in the preparation of management reporting, the consolidated annual budget and quarterly forecasts.

Responsibilities :

Preparation of monthly financial results for the executive team and shareholders, including preliminary flash reports and detailed financial results packages and slide decks.

Preparation of quarterly Board and lender reporting.

Finance Business Partner for the People & Culture team, including :

Monthly close and results reporting (with a focused review of performance versus Plan and prior periods)

Monitoring performance to ensure plan commitments are met and advise management on any actions needed to address identified risks and opportunities to their business plans.

Preparation of detailed operating expense budgets and forecasts

Partnering with People & Culture team on company-wide modelling and reporting of personnel-related spend including merit and statutory increase budgets and bonus programs

Ownership of special charges reporting and forecasts, including consolidation and reporting of corporate cost reduction programs

Supporting company-wide budget and forecast processes, including rolling up the consolidated annual budget and quarterly forecasts.

Ad hoc analysis and reports, as required per business needs

Requirements :

Bachelor’s Degree required; MBA or accounting designation (CPA) highly preferred

7+ years of experience in FP&A or combination of financial positions that include FP&A

Previous experience leading a small team

Highly proficient in MS Excel and Powerpoint with experience building and managing complex financial models.

Ability to work with large and disparate data sets from multiple sources / systems and simplify the information for intended purpose

Must be able to build relationships across functions and be influential to achieve results based on data and facts

Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently while meeting deliverables under tight time constraints.

Ability to act as a business partner to the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) and influence the decisions as it relates to financial impacts and business performance
