About the role

As the Senior Product Manager, you will oversee the entire feature roadmap of the Beacon Money Account, a vital component of Beacon's Super App aspirations.

The candidate we envision is someone deeply devoted to ensuring user satisfaction and possesses a thorough understanding of the intricacies of Canadian financial transactions (extremely important!).

You should have a solid commitment to driving innovation in financial services, all while ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and industry best practices.

You should be a team player who thrives on close collaboration with fellow designers and developers worldwide (India and South America).

Proficiency in navigating API documentation and SQL queries for data analysis would help ship better and faster. You'll work in a hybrid environment, and a 3-day in-office (downtown Toronto) presence is required.

While we understand that finding the perfect candidate may be challenging, we seek individuals with outstanding talent and a growth-oriented mindset.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and execute the end-to-end roadmap for the Beacon Money account and Prepaid card issuing, including new feature discovery to support services for the feature.
  • Gather requirements, user stories, and specifications for stakeholders and the development team.
  • Prioritize team projects for maximum impact in coordination with product leadership, including the head of engineering.
  • Understand and ensure technical alignment with the head of engineering to facilitate seamless integration of new features and functionalities.
  • Develop a good understanding of Beacon's Ledger and money movement rails in Canada and other major geographies, such as the US, India, etc.
  • Map out minimum viable products, coordinate resources for successful launches, and measure core success metrics for iterative improvements.
  • Identify and maintain relationships with partners and vendors to deliver features and functionality.
  • Drive full deployment of products leveraging customer insights and competitive positioning.
  • Analyze market trends and user feedback for pricing decisions.
  • Collaborate with marketing on go-to-market strategies, messaging, and alignment with product strategy.

We're looking for

  • More than 5 years of experience uncovering customer needs and market positioning, particularly within the banking and payments sector, with a firm grasp of ledger functionalities and Canadian payment systems.
  • Good track record in Product Management within the payments realm, including successfully launching and enhancing various products.
  • Familiarity with banking procedures, encompassing deposit handling, lending processes, and debit card solutions.
  • Proficient in analyzing complex issues and utilizing data to drive decision-making.
  • Capable of managing conflicting priorities effectively and excelling in dynamic work environments.
  • Exceptional communication skills, adept at translating technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
  • Outstanding problem-solving skills with a focus on achieving tangible results.
  • Updated knowledge of regulatory standards governing banking and payment industries.
  • Skilled in identifying and mitigating risks associated with ledger and payment products.
  • Collaborative team member who values feedback and an environment of continuous improvement, accountability and ownership.

How to Apply

Submit your resume and a cover letter detailing your relevant experience and why you're a perfect fit for this role. The cover letter is an essential part of the application.
