About the Opportunity

The Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing confidential comprehensive administrative support to the Directors and their managers by effectively coordinating the day-to-day operation of the Directors' and their manager’s offices.

The position coordinates all administrative activities, acts as liaison between the various Directors, managers and staff, facilitating communication and meetings across NS Health.

This position provides additional support to individuals, committees or working groups as assigned. This position works closely with the Executive Assistant of the Senior Director IM / IT providing back up as required and supporting the IM / IT Senior Leadership Team as required.

About You

We would love to hear from you if you have the following :

  • Post-Secondary diploma in a recognized office administration, business administration or secretarial program
  • Minimum of 5-7 years’ of progressively responsible experience, providing administrative support and office coordination at the executive level, preferably within healthcare and within an integrated service model provided throughout several locations with multiple partners and stakeholders.
  • Undergraduate degree is an asset
  • International Association of Administrative Professionals (IAAP) certification is an asset
  • Excellent communication skills, interpersonal relationships with all levels of staff, prioritizing and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrate competencies requiring advanced skills and abilities in all facets of modern office practices and technology and with information and meeting technologies.

Experience utilizing technology in meeting planning to create efficiencies and streamline tracking and retrieval of information.

Proficiency in typing accuracy and speed is essential

Hours

  • Short-assignment, Full-time Position; 75 Hours Biweekly
  • Approximately 7 months (assignment length subject to change)
  • Hybrid work arrangement (Work from home & on site in Bedford NS)

Compensation and Benefits

$23.78 - $29.73 Hourly
