WHAT IT TAKES
This position involves working on the Changing the Conversation project, which aims to support those with lived experience of housing insecurity to advocate for various forms of housing justice. The role includes doing literature reviews, supporting qualitative research, attending project events, and working on other various tasks relevant to the project.
Domestic students must meet ONE of the following criteria, to be eligible to work as a Student Assistant / Student Research Assistant :
International students must meet ONE of the following criteria, to be eligible to work as a Student Assistant / Student Research Assistant :
An original copy of a Social Insurance Number ( SIN ) and an original Study Permit are required by law before commencing work at Douglas College.
Qualified Douglas College students meeting the above criteria will be given first preference over students of other qualifying institutions.
Additional Information
The position is located at the New Westminster campus, though some activities will occur off-campus in New Westminster at project partner sites. Hours of work : up to a maximum of 20 hours / week. The work terms for this position are :
1. Winter 2025 : January 6, 2025 - April 25, 2025
2. Summer 2025 : May 6, 2025 - August 18, 2025
