Job Description
JOB PURPOSE :
The IT technician is responsible for the proper functioning of computer equipment.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
Work with the IT Director who is located at the Head Office to ensure the proper functioning of the computer network at the event site.
Maintain all IT and network installations, including laptops, peripherals, telecommunication tools, and software, in relation to the infrastructure located on site.
Install and ensure the proper functioning of POS and networking services for ticketing and sales kiosks.
Provide technical support to internal users for computers, peripherals, and the network.
Manage inventories, maintenance, and proper functioning of equipment and systems under their responsibility.
Oversee photocopiers, fax machines, and printers.
Perform data backups for the event.
Implement the network between the Event and the Head Office.
Assemble and disassemble IT and networking installations at the beginning and end of the event, ensuring communication with service providers.
Perform any other related tasks necessary for the smooth operation of the activities.
Requirements
College diploma in computer science or a related field.
Knowledge of IP telecommunications and mobile phones.
Minimum of three (3) years of experience.
Knowledge of VMWare (VSphere) and Apple MAC is an asset.
Familiarity with MS Office Suite (XP-2003-2010, 2013, and Office 365).
Understanding of wireless products (WIFI).
Experience with RJ45 crimping and cabling.
Ability to train and assist a user clientele.
Strong customer service orientation.
Autonomy, resourcefulness, versatility, and organizational skills.
Ability to work with a variable schedule, including days, evenings, and weekends.
