RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Oversee full-cycle accounting including billing and payment approval
• Review and approve month end reporting package, including; labour cost allocation report, business unit reports, intercompany reconciliations, variance analysis and cash flow forecast
• Prepare annual budget and monthly forecast
• Review and approves monthly / quarterly government remittance for GST, PST and WCB
• Facilitate financial year end preparation, audit engagement and internal control assessments
• Prepare annual BCIDMTC application
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures and controls
• Maintain the integrity and accuracy of all necessary monthly reconciliations, account analyses, and schedules
• Ensure tax provision records are complete and accurate
• Ensure compliance with local, state / province, and federal budgetary reporting requirements (Sales tax, VAT, Income Tax)
• Other ad hoc projects as requested.

REQUIREMENTS :

• CPA (CGA or CMA) designate combined with a minimum of 10 years of accounting, business analytics or financial planning experience, preferably in gaming industry
• 1 3 years’ experience as a team lead or management
• Experience with year-end audit and preparation work
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Superior problem-solving skills and ability to work under tight deadlines
• Proficient with MS Office Suite (i.e. Excel and Word)
• Strong work ethic and standards with high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS :

• Knowledge of IFRS
• Experience with Sage Intacct is a plus
• Solid work ethic without sacrificing your sense of humor or your ability to get the job done while having fun!
