Responsibilities :
- Working with the Client Services team, conduct initial assessments and develop personalized care plans for new clients.
- Maintain regular communication with clients and their families to ensure satisfaction with services.
- Supervise and support the caregiving team, providing guidance and resolving any issues that arise.
- Coordinate with medical professionals, therapists, and other service providers to ensure comprehensive care.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of care plans, making adjustments as needed.
- Manage client records, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
- Handle client inquiries and address concerns in a timely and effective manner.
- Providing emotional support to our caregiver team, our clients and their families
- Participate in recruitment, training, and evaluation of caregivers.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and client-centered care within the team.
- Ensure compliance with all federal and provincial laws, regulations, and Senior Helpers policies.
Qualifications :
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role within the senior care industry.
- Strong understanding of senior care practices and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Intermediate to advanced understanding of Microsoft Office applications (i.e.
Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, etc)
Experience with WellSky client management software would be an asset.
Requirements :
- Current registration with the BC Care Aide & Community Health Worker Registry
- Completion of a recognized Health Care Aide program
- Previous experience working as a Health Care Assistant in a healthcare setting preferred
- Negative TB test completed in the past 90 days
- A negative Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check issued in the past 90 days
- Certification in CPR and First Aid (preferred)
- Reliable transportation and flexibility to work various days / hours, including evenings and weekends
