Valero Energy Inc. a company operating in the petroleum and renewable diesel sector is looking for a Low Carbon Fuels Confirmation Coordinator for a permanent contract.
Under the supervision of the Senior Manager, the incumbent will identify and analyze Canadian renewable fuels regulations, integrating these rules into operations and optimizing Valero's compliance strategy.
The incumbent will also be responsible for identifying business opportunities related to renewable fuels in Canada, facilitating feasibility studies and making recommendations to senior management.
Responsabilities : Be an expert in the field, acquire extensive knowledge of current and future low-carbon fuel regulations to interpret and identify the main concerns and repercussions;
and be a resource for in-house clients.Monitor the evolution of low-carbon fuel regulations and understand / communicate their impacts on Valero's activities.
Develop documents for in-house parties to serve as reference material or for training purposes.Do regular follow-up on the performance and compliance status of various regulations to identify opportunities to optimize and / or prevent cases of non-compliance.
Establish and implement corrective measures in cases where there is non-compliance or excessive deviations from established procedures.
Perform economic analyses and simulations associated with regulatory compliance projects and contract reviews.Develop and analyze optimization, growth and cost reduction projects associated with low-carbon fuels for commercial activities in Canada.
Participate in audit controls and programs (internal and external) on low-carbon fuels.Support financial and month-end activities, including the preparation of obligation reports, account reconciliations, recording of accounting entries and the explanation of variances in the results of various programs.
Provide ad hoc reports and analyses at senior management's request.
