This full-time position will be responsible for supporting the Production Planning Manager. The ideal candidate is able to stay organized and maintain their attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
The successful candidate will have strong computer skills as they will have to work routinely with Microsoft Office programs.
Please note this position is 100% in office, no remote work.
Duties & Responsibilities :
Assist with the management and maintenance of the master shipping schedule for all customer orders to meet customer due dates with bill of material and estimated labor hours from the engineering package.
Collaborate with Materials to ensure purchased material is available when required for the production plan.
- Collaborate with engineering team to predict and plan for production release of engineered-to-order equipment, to ensure on-time hand-off from engineering to production.
- Collaborate with Operations team to keep capacity planning algorithms and targets up to date, and plan customer shipments within defined range of available capacity to prevent incorrect scheduling of equipment and labor.
- Maintain and publish list of current lead times by product type so customer promise dates are accurate. Track key metrics to assess scheduling performance such as on-time delivery to original promise date, lead-time from customer order to shipment, scheduling accuracy, scheduling attainment, etc.
Forecast monthly plant revenue for upcoming 6-12 months to input to the sales, operations, and inventory planning (SIOP) process.
- Ensure accurate and timely ERP scheduling to drive material and labor demand
- Other tasks as required.
Qualified candidates must possess :
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role is required
- High School Diploma with some Post Secondary Education in Business and / or equivalent in work experience
- Experience with ERP systems including master scheduling and production planning modules (Infor preferred)
- Knowledge of inventory and manufacturing processes
- Broad experience with continuous improvement and critical thinking tools (lean manufacturing a plus)
- High expertise with Microsoft Excel, and skills with Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Strong written and oral communication skills and comfortable interacting with all levels of IEM.
- A collaborative style due to the high impact of the planning process on the overall operation.
