We are looking for a detail-oriented Tax Clerk to join our team in North Vancouver, British Columbia, on a short-term contract. This position is ideal for someone with a background in customer service and tax-related processes, combined with strong skills in data entry and intermediate proficiency in Excel. Working onsite, you will play a key role in managing payments, grants, and reconciliations while maintaining excellent customer service standards.
Responsibilities :
- Collaborate closely with the reception team to ensure smooth payment processing.
- Accept payments and reconcile utility payments with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Review and verify homeowner grants, inputting data into Excel efficiently.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to address inquiries and provide assistance.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to tax and payment transactions.
- Apply intermediate Excel skills, including functions like VLOOKUP and pivot tables, to manage and analyze data.
- Adhere to office safety protocols while working onsite.
- Ensure compliance with vaccination proof requirements and business casual dress code.
- Interact with various departments and stakeholders to facilitate smooth operations.
- Contribute to a friendly, open office culture while handling tasks in a shared workspace.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in customer service with a focus on tax-related responsibilities.
- Familiarity with property tax processes and local tax regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel at an intermediate level, including functions like VLOOKUP and pivot tables.
- Strong data entry skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to reconcile payments and review grants effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for providing customer service.
- Must be able to work onsite on a consistent basis and comply with vaccination proof requirements.
- Business casual attire suitable for a well-organized office environment.
