What does your day at GIP look like?

Reporting to the Human Resources Business Partner, the Talent Acquisition Specialist works with the Human Resources teams to fulfill Green Infrastructure Partners staffing and onboarding needs :

  • Coordinate with HRBP and hiring managers to identify staffing needs.
  • Assist the Human Resources Team helping with data organizing and maintaining weekly reports of new hires using the JD Edwards, Workday, and Desjardins.
  • Partner with hiring managers, HR Business Partners, and key stakeholders to develop a comprehensive understanding of business requirements.
  • Develop Job Descriptions to reflect each position’s requirements as per Business needs in the HRIS.
  • Maintain human resource information system records related to events such as hires, transfers, promotions, etc. Provide timely and accurate system reporting, including maintaining real-time candidate disposition status in HRIS (Workday).
  • Conduct full lifecycle recruiting of top-tier candidates including sourcing, screening, interviewing, conducting reference checks, providing feedback / recommendations, and assisting the candidate through offer negotiations and acceptance.
  • Keep track of employee offboarding and processing terminations in Workday.
  • Provide counsel to hiring managers on matters pertinent to internal mobility and external hiring to ensure adherence to established company policies and procedures and compliance with employment laws.
  • Leverage Workday to maintain accurate and well-ordered documentation on candidate pipelines and recruiting activities.
  • Work with hiring managers to assess future hiring needs through proactive People Planning activities and understand key metrics to meet hiring goals.
  • Organize job fairs, career expos, college visits, etc. Develop relationships with school representatives to promote hiring for GIP’s Co-op Program.
  • Conduct Orientation and create Letters of Employment upon request.
  • Posting Jobs on Job Posting websites.

Enough about us, let’s talk about you.

  • 1-2 years of progressive Human Resources experience required.
  • Completion of a Human Resources degree / diploma from a University / College.
  • Experience with HRIS - Workday and JD Edwards is required.
  • Experience in using the Desjardins system required.
  • Experience in the Construction Industry is required.
  • Experience with Time Off Cloud is required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to thrive in both structured and unstructured environments, handling pressure and managing competing priorities and timelines.
  • Results-driven with an ability to deliver success in a fast-paced environment.
  • Outcome-focused, critical thinker with the ability to analyse and visualize to ensure continuous improvement across our business.
  • Ability to connect and interact with people to seek different perspectives.
  • Superb communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple competing priorities.
  • Demonstrate versatility and resourcefulness in overcoming business challenges.
