About the opportunity
Reporting to the Director, Culture & Transformation, the People & Culture (P&C) Employee Experience Specialist will play a critical role in supporting and enhancing the employee experience at CPA Canada.
This role focuses on employee engagement, HR analytics support, Learning and Development (L&D) initiatives and support, and managing special projects.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about fostering a positive and inclusive work environment, leveraging data to drive P&C strategies, and promoting continuous learning and development.
This hybrid role is national in scope and can be aligned to any of our CPA Canada offices.
The targeted annual salary range for this position is $80,000 to $95,000 and is commensurate with experience.
What you'll do
Employee Engagement
- Develop and implement employee engagement strategies to enhance workplace culture, wellness and employee satisfaction and engagement.
- Design and conduct regular employee surveys, analyze results, and collaborate with leadership and P&C Business Partners to address areas for improvement.
- Organize and manage employee events, recognition programs, and wellness initiatives that foster a positive work environment and encourage employee participation.
- Execute onboarding sessions and activities for new hires in collaboration with the Talent Acquisition team.
- Monitor industry trends and best practices in employee engagement to keep the organization's strategies up-to-date.
HR Analytics Support
- Collaborate across People and Culture to support work in identifying, and resolving data issues, and generate various reports as required.
- Collect, analyze, and report on HR metrics, including turnover rates, employee satisfaction, and diversity and inclusion statistics.
- Use data-driven insights to support P&C strategies and decision-making processes.
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of HR dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and trends. Customize reports and dashboards to meet the needs of different stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities for improving HR processes through data analysis and recommend enhancements to existing HR practices based on analytical insights.
Learning & Development
- Manage the day-to-day administration of our learning management system, including user management, content management, learner assignments and working with our vendor on system maintenance
- Provide administrative and technical support for our performance management program, including system tasks, generating reports and troubleshooting user issues
- Monitor employee completion of mandatory compliance training, generate reports and conduct follow-up activities to ensure compliance
Special Projects
- Lead and participate in special projects such as; workplace well-being initiatives, recognition and reward programs, and talent development programs.
- Conduct research and benchmarking to identify best practices and innovative solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution.
- Provide regular updates and reports on project progress and outcomes.
- Review and update related HR policies to reflect the latest programs, ensuring policies are communicated effectively and understood across the organization.
What we're looking for
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma, in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Completion or working towards CHRP designation is preferred.
- 4+ years of experience working within a People and Culture / HR team, including direct experience with employee engagement, learning & development and analytics support
- General knowledge of Human Resources, Employment Standards and Human Rights legislation in Canada.
- Excellent analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive data with the highest levels of integrity and confidentiality.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills with a proven ability to manage multiple projects, achieve results, work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with e-learning platforms and L&D tools would be considered an asset.
- Strong verbal and written English language communication skills, bilingualism considered an asset.
